As a kid I never had enough pocket money to buy the many things I've wanted (not to say that my parents won't buy them for me if I'd asked, just that it's not my style to ask... I'm such a good boy ^_^ or perhaps a coward? haha...), so once I had enough savings through my part time jobs in NUS, I spent first and foremost on the things I have always loved - electronic gadgets (aka toys). In a small way I am living my childhood dream, eventhough there are still many things I can't afford right now. Anyway, below are a list of the toys I currently possessed, a modest list so far but it'll grow as my purchasing power grows. Cheers~

Toy List:

elfstone
Elfstone (version 2.x), my main rig - no longer top of the line but still powerful desktop PC for both work and play, with a few upgrades along the way, latest being an FX6600GT. More...
elessar
Elessar, my laptop - ultra-portable at 1.4kg, this sleek and sexy machine follows me when I need to use a real computer out of my room. More...
pocket pc
Ipaq h5550, my pocket PC - keeps me updated and organized, entertains me while I'm on the move... never leave home without it. More...
router
D-link DI-624+, my wireless router - works 24/7 keeping elfstone, elessar, and my PPC all linked up to the Internet anywhere in the house. More...
camera
Exilim EX-Z40, my digital camera - beautiful, stylish little thing with very long battery life... might not beat a similar Canon in image quality but who cares? It is simply gorgeous. More...
portable hdd
QCool OTG, my portable HDD - a 2.5" enclosure which is also a standalone card-reader, works wonders with my camera on a long vacation trip. More...
b&o
BeoSystem 2500, hi-fi system - OMG it's a classic B&O! Technically not mine but since it's now in my room for my listening pleasure I'm adding it to my list, and nobody's gonna stop me!! More...
joystick
MS Sidewinder Precision 2, my joystick - for better control in flight and space simlulation games... haven't seen much action due to lack of titles of this genre. More...
wheel
Twin Turbo 2 Supreme, my wheel - comes with gear level and handbrake, acceleration and brake panel, with minor force feedback. More...
printer
Samsung ML-1210, my printer - decently small monochrome laser churns out lecture notes at 12ppm while I brushes my teeth... ah, those dreadful 8am lectures. More...

Wish List:

  • A new handphone to replace my old, faithful Nokia 6610, perhaps the sleek Nokia 6680.
  • A new set of speakers for elfstone, haven't decided on which model yet.
  • A set of Sennheiser wireless hi-fi headphones.
  • Upgrade elfstone to version 3, perhaps with an Athlon 64 on an nforce4 chipset.
  • A 17" or 19" LCD monitor, when LCD technology matures more.
  • Microsoft's Optical Desktop Comfort Edition.
  • A 1GB SD card for my camera and PPC.
  • A good Canon digital SLR with some proper lenses.
  • A freakin' car!! The Tuscani looks good and affordable, well, affordable in a few years' time perhaps =)
